Since the late seventies we have been involved in various parts of the
music business as musicians, sound engineers, producers, promotors, music
teachers, administrators and so on.
In 1991 we discovered that there was a market in Europe (and USA) fordifferent
kind of information regarding music & associated businesses. We also became
awareof the fact that there where no such specialized company in Sweden
that could provide up-to-date information and services for all parts of
the music scene.
So we formed the Rockfile Sweden company and found partners in Paris (Centre
D´Information du Rock, today known as L´I.R.M.A.) who publishes
the EuroPopBook andthe EuroJazzBook among a couple of other titles, in Los
Angeles we found the Recording Industry Sourcebook (published by Ascona
Communications and Mix Bookshelf). Later on we also contacted FARO informasjon
who publishes the Musikkguiden directory in Norway and a little while back
we added the Australasian Music Directory, published by IMMEDIA in Sydney,
and a couple of other guides from Ireland and Spain to our extensive list
of available titles.
Rockfile today is Swedens only company specialized in international music
information and our list of clients is from all parts of the music scene
including for example Major and Independent record labels, Journalists,
Organisations, Schools, Musicians, Public Libraries and so on.
Rockfile Sweden is not only devoted to bookproduction & sales, we also organize
seminars & workshops, we help international & domestic companies to get
new businesspartners to just give a few examples.
Another division of Rockfile Sweden is Rockfile Mastering, that is a CD-PreMastering
facility.
Thank you for looking us up at the Internet, If you want any additional
information in English, please drop us a note. ( hq@rockfile.se
